Lennon Ledbetter’s Mansion Up for Sale

August 8, 2009

Lennon Ledbetter, who is currently involved in Quixtar, a multi-level marketing company and is the founder of Teambuilders, a self-motivation company is putting his mansion on the market after only 3 years of owning it. He has put the 28,260 square foot mega mansion on the market for $7,900,000. The home is located at 13322 N Grove Drive in Alpine, UT. The home belonged to noted attorney Keith Barton. Keith had put it on the market for a cool $14.9 million a couple years back. There were no interested buyers and so the home went into foreclosure. The bank later auctioned off the house and it sold to Lennon for the paltry price of $7 million back in 2006. The home contains 7 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms , a grand foyer with curved staircase, a music room, a massive 2-story great room with floor to ceiling windows, a grand ballroom, dining room with gold leaf trim, gourmet kitchen with separate catering kitchen and pantry, family room, 2-story library with spiral staircase, a barber shop, a lounge, an ice cream parlor, a home theater, and a swimming pool.

Almost Identical Mansions

August 5, 2009

This is the former mansion of Indian mortgage broker and entertainment mogul Vijay K. Taneja. The home is located on Summit Drive in Fairfax, VA. It contains 25,000 square feet of living space and includes an indoor swimming pool, an indoor racquetball court, a gold-leaf prayer room, a home theater, and a tennis court. Vijay built the home in 2005. While living in the house, he was also executing an elaborate mortgage fraud scheme — defrauding four U.S. banks of millions — while continuing his global investments. Investigators are still trying to untangle the financial web. He pleaded guilty November 2008 to bilking banks of at least $33 million and victimizing associates from the Indian community with phony home loans. The mansion was auctioned off and the highest bid went to Egyptian businessman Ali Hafez who paid $3.875, which I think is practically a steal. The bidding started at $2.8 million.

NOW……Take a look at this mansion, which I just did a post on yesterday, and tell me if you see anything.

YES, THEY ARE ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME.

This house has only 21,500 square feet, but you can see that every detail, from the columns, to the two symmetrical wings, that they are the same. I wonder which company built them. Probably Niroo Mansions.

Updated Pics of the Illinois Behemoth

August 4, 2009

Here are pictures of the mansion, I personally dub “Illinois Behemoth”, completed. It is located on S Braymore Drive in Barrington, IL. I wrote a post on this home a while back and included photos of it still under construction. Well, its definitely completed and looking mighty BIGGG! So, I just got more information as you can see below. It’s address is 1765 S Braymore Drive. It is owned by Gerald Forsythe, who is a businessman and auto racing magnate. On the property records website, it says that the home is between 1.3 and 1.9 stories, whatever that means, and is just shy of 25,000 square feet.

Self-made Billionaire and business tycoon Rafik Hariri planned to build the country’s largest residential home. Rafik, who passed away in 2005, was the former prime minister of Lebanon. Back in 2003, he made plans to build a massive 103,667 square foot mega-mansion in Washington D.C’s Foxhall neighborhood. He planned to build the home on a 16 acre tract of land that he bought for $13 million in 1987. Rafik was going to spend an estimated $45 million building the home. Alvin Malnik’s Palm Beach Behemoth

July 18, 2009

Alvink Malnik, the rumored mafia man, lives in this palatial 38,000 square foot that is located on a 3.4 acre oceanfront lot in Palm Beach, FL. While I thought the square footage was 61,000, I guess I was wrong. Alvin along with his wife and 3 children live in the gigantic Italianate mansion. They are building another home right next to this one that will consist of 18,000 square feet. So, the total square footage comes to 56,000!!! The new addition is described as a children’s play area and will hold an Asian Gallery in the lower level. The house was recently appraised at $19.8 million, but may say that its worth twice as much.
