The Jonas Brothers to buy Alpine, NJ Mansion

The home was originally on the market for $12,000,000 and is now listed at $9,995,000. It is located at 20 Timberline Drive in Alpine, NJ. It contains 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, an elevator, 3 kitchens, a 4-room master suite, library, 1st floor media room, gym, home theater, guest quarters, a 7-car garage, a tennis court, and an indoor swimming pool. I don’t think that this home fits them. If I was them, I would buy either this home or this home which are in nearby Saddle River. They are much more nicer inside and only in the $7-$9 million range.

You are right, the Saddle River home is much nicer.

I agree totally on the houses. Is it possible he bought the town of Alpine over Saddle River?

The Alpine house is toooooo mature (old) for them… I knew what the link was going to be…you said that CC should have bought that one as well. I agree the only weakness that the SR house has is the Master Bath and Closet. (but that is a very easy fix)

maybe the elevator to all three floors (not for them…maybe family) had something to do with it; or the new security system being celebrities? You'd think cheaper to buy one of the other homes (I like the 1st of the other houses best) and then add to it. Although I saw a Beverly Hills mansion for sale once where they said an Embassy grade security system. Someone told me if true you are probably talking $250-500K in the security system alone.

Actually, I live in Alpine and I've seen that Alpine house. It is absolutely gorgeous and the inside is astounding. Also, Alpine's taxes are a lot cheaper than the Saddle River ones so in the long run, those $2mil hardly make a difference. However, the Alpine home is the first house of a complex called Timberline, and that is not an attractive buy since the house overlooks an extremely busy highway.

I live in Alpine and I'm pretty sure one of my brother's childhood friends used to live in that house. It doesn't overlook the highway at all. It overlooks Timberline Drive. None of the houses in Timberline look directly out onto 9W or the PIP. The ones that are even remotely close to those roads have their back to them, with a decent quantity of woods between them. The ones in the complex next to it (Audrey Urban Court) do look over the highways, though.

HHAHAH, Those Jonas Brothers were completely ripped off!! That house is probably at most worth 5 million.

As an Alpine resident, I know that if you are going to drop that amount of cash, you go to Rio Vista. Not next to the armstrong tower..
