Jupiter Island Mega-Mansion

This mega-mansion is under construction on Commodore Drive in affluent Jupiter, Florida. It is comprised of two buildings; a main house and an attached guest house. The main house contains a staggering 24,320 square feet and the guest house contains another 6,381 square feet for a total of 30,701. There a total of 9 bedrooms and 17.5 bathrooms in the house. This has to be one of my favorite houses being built in Florida. I love the large picturesque windows as well as the many terraces. The home also has a swimming pool and 2 boat docks. If anybody has any more information on this house or any pictures please feel free to leave a comment or email me.

This home is actually not on Jupiter Island, but in the city of Jupiter. Jupiter Island is only the barrier island located in the southeastern most part of Martin County. This home is in the city of Jupiter which is in Palm Beach County.
The home is ownened by Ronald and Arlene Holden who originally come from Iowa. Ronald Holden owned the company his father started, Holden’s Foundation Seeds which researched and developed corn seeds. Holden later sold the company.
After Holden’s father passed away from cancer, he and his wife founded numerous cancer reasearch centers.

Isn’t Tiger building on Jupiter Island? I heard he bought and tore down an existing mansion because the property gives his yacht (155′ named Privacy) a deep anchorage.

A cousin in Iowa told me they sold the seed business for somewhere between $500M-$1B…giving many longtime employees $1M each from the sale. Sounds like a very classy couple.

This home is built on 2 lots which were purchased for a total of around $ 7,000,000. One of the houses that was torn down was only a couple of years old. These mega-mansions are being built along the water in Admirals Cove much to the anger of the previous residents who are finding their waterfront views now obstructed, a detail overlooked when the original deed restrictions were put in place.
