This French chateau, dubbed Hillcrest Manor, is located on Hillsboro Pike in Nashville, TN. It was designed by J. Terry Bates & Associates.

This colonial mega-mansion is under construction on prestigious Strait Lane in Dallas, TX.


This 22,000 square foot Normandy style mansion is located on Congressional Parkway in Potomac, MD. It is owned by Raul Fernandez, who is the chairman of ObjectVideo and co-owner of the Washington Capitals. The home has 8 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a 2,000 square foot pool house, a swimming pool, and a tennis court.

This mansion is located on Highland Farms Road in Potomac, MD. It is owned by developer Steve Lebling who throws lavish parties frequently. The 28,000 square foot house has 11 fireplaces, 13 bathrooms, a 4+ car garage, a swimming pool, and a large pool house.


This is the 30,000 square foot mansion of Jim Kimsey, the co-founder and one time CEO of AOL. The house is located at 600 Chain Bridge Road in Mclean, VA. The home cost $12 million to build. Jim owns the Frank Lloyd Wright house right next door. He built this mansion solely for large parties and charity events.


This French manor is being completed on Braewood Place in Dallas, TX. The home has a 5+ car garage, a swimming pool, and is located in the Bent Tree Country Club.


This estate is located at 54th Ct SE in Salme, OR. The estate contains a 3+ car garage, an attached guest house, a barn, a swimming pool with pool house, a basketball court, and a tennis court.

Jupiter Island Mega-Mansion

This mega-mansion is under construction on Commodore Drive in affluent Jupiter, Florida. It is comprised of two buildings; a main house and an attached guest house. The main house contains a staggering 24,320 square feet and the guest house contains another 6,381 square feet for a total of 30,701. There a total of 9 bedrooms and 17.5 bathrooms in the house. This has to be one of my favorite houses being built in Florida. I love the large picturesque windows as well as the many terraces. The home also has a swimming pool and 2 boat docks. Potomac Mega-Mansion has sad story behind its selling

This is the unfinished mega-mansion of renowned cardiologist Dr. Hector Collison. The 27,000 square foot home is on the market for $5,500,000 and contains 10 bedrooms, 10.5 bathrooms, an indoor pool, a basketball court, and much more. It is located on Bentcross Drive in Potomac. Hector and his 15 year old son died in a single engine plane crash in the Shenandoah Mountains. Him and his family were set to move into this sprawling mansion and now his wife is forced to sell it. The bank says that they owe $8,000,000 on the house. There is a video above on this story.

This massive 30,000 square foot estate is located on N Parkview Avenue in Columbus, OH. The house was designed by Geoffrey Bradfield. The home has not one, but three art gallerys that display rare paintings and artifacts. It also has formal gardens, a tennis court, and a swimming pool.

A look at a French Manor in Prestigious Alpine

This house has been on my mind ever since I discovered it while taking a drive through Alpine, NJ. I was looking through past publications of Architectural Digest online and I came across this house. I was ecstatic when I found it. The French inspired mansion was designed by famed architect Boris Baranovich. The interior designer of the home is Penny Drue Baird. The home is owned by Steven and Candice Stark, who moved from an apartment in New York City to this fabulous 2-acre estate. Steven is the owner of Stark Carpet, which offers carpets, rugs, furniture, and textiles to design professionals for both commercial and residential use. Stark Carpet had sales of $150 million back in 2007. The 24-room, 20,000 square foot house includes a magnificent foyer with beautiful wrought iron balconies, Wi-Fi technology, 25 zones of climate control, a grand dining room that can seat 30 people, a gym, large custom dressing rooms for him and her, a library, an indoor basketball court, an indoor pool, multiple family rooms, a home theater with 700 movies programmed in, a tennis court, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Hi Everyone! Today is a special day. It is Homes of the Rich’s 400th post. I started this blog back in July 0f 2008 and I would never have thought that I would make it to 200 posts let alone 400.
